Lucy & Adrian | Wellington College
From the moment Lucy and Adrian got in touch to ask us to photograph their wedding at Wellington College in Berkshire we were hugely excited. The venue was incredible with its nineteenth century baroque architecture including stately quads, stunning chapel and pretty grounds. Our couple had been in no doubt about where their wedding was to be held as Adrian’s family had attended the college for decades.
Our couple were so much fun to liaise with regarding their day. They were tremendously excited about what they hoped for and eager for each moment to be captured for them to cherish. Their idea was clear; it’s about sharing time with the people they love and having bags of fun. This is exactly what happened!
When we arrived on the day, you could hear the laughter bursting out from Lucy’s parents’ house in Sandhurst where our gorgeous bride and her lovely bridesmaids were getting ready. Lucy was having a blast with her girls as they helped her prepare for her big day. The girls recounted endless hilarious tales from their past with Lucy helping our bride relax throughout the mornings activities.
As the morning progressed, Lucy was transformed into the most stunning of brides. With flawlessly elegant make-up, beautifully styled hair and absolutely gorgeous dress, Lucy was ready to make her way to Wellington College where her handsome groom was waiting.
The chapel was silent as Lucy glided elegantly down the aisle towards Adrian. Father Tim held a wonderfully joyous ceremony which seemed perfectly fitting for our couple who beamed at each other throughout the service.
Afterwards, the reception began with all the guests invited to enjoy drinks and canapés in the glorious April sunshine. Some of the funniest speeches we have ever heard marked the start of the wedding breakfast followed by a lot of dancing and a little more drinking.
We have no doubt that Adrian and Lucy will have a long and happy marriage together as it was plain to see how much they adored one another. We are so pleased to have been a part of the day – it was a blast from the very beginning until the very end!
