Indie & Andrew | Bristol Sikh Temple & Rookery Manor

A symphony of colour, love and life is one way of describing Indie and Andrew’s wedding! Two cultures, two ceremony’s, two wedding dresses, two suits and 16 hours of celebrations; From beginning to end a day of festivities which we will never forget!

We arrived in Bristol at six in the morning and the getting ready process was well and truly underway! There was such a lot happening with everyone preparing for the Sikh ceremony later that morning. Indie emerged from her room after a frenzy of hair, make-up, jewellery and dress adornment looking so beautiful we were rendered speechless.

Later, Andy and a crowd of the most beautiful and colourfully clothed guests awaited Indie’s arrival at The Siri Guru Singh Sabha Gurdwara in Bristol. A truly glorious ceremony was followed by more lovely rituals for the newly married couple at Indie’s parents’ home.

The majority of the guests then drove South West to Rookery Manor. The venue, a 16^th century estate surrounded by Somerset countryside was where the rest of the day’s celebrations would take place. Some guests took a rest in their rooms whilst others enjoyed the gardens and a drink before the second ceremony of the day when Indie and Andy once again emerged looking spectacular in their sumptuous burgundy, velvet outfits!

After the ceremony was over it was time for photos, food, and the most heartfelt of speeches where each of the couple was warmly welcomed into the others family. The day was then finished with the dancing to end all dancing. What a treat!

So thanks to Indie and Andy for inviting us to share a small part of your terrific day, it really was a delight and a privilege and we wish you all the very best in your future together!

Sarah & Tash | Kilver Court & Mells

Sarah and Tash got in touch three days before their Somerset wedding having found themselves without a photographer at the last minute due to unforeseen circumstances. We were delighted to have been able to step in and help! With just a couple of days to plan we didn’t have long to sort out logistics but we managed to arrange everything and blimey was it worth it!

We arrived in Mells, Somerset having never been there before on the beautifully foggy morning of their wedding day. It just so turns out that Mells, ‘a small Somerset village with a big history’ is by far one of the prettiest villages in Somerset with its secret garden and endless listed buildings.

Sarah began her day in the super stylish Talbot Inn surrounded by friends and family. The Somerset coaching inn was also the reception venue and it looked absolutely sumptuous with its rich décor and low lighting. Tash and her loved ones got ready a short walk down the road at Hollycroft, a 15^th century stone cottage with bags of character. Tash was surrounded by a flurry of activity as the morning progressed, even Hendo the couples beloved dog was invited to the party! When ready, both women looked stunning in their complimentary Valentino dresses and all that stood between them and their ceremony was the short drive to Shepton Mallet and Kilver Court where the romantic outdoor ceremony was to be held.

By the time we arrived the sun was shining and Kilver Court looked magnificent set as it is in the Somerset countryside. All awaited with quiet anticipation as both women glided towards the dovecot and each other to make their vows.

After a truly moving ceremony the guests enjoyed a few drinks and canapés in the gardens and then it was off back to Mells for some photos of our newlywed’s in The Secret Garden and along the Mells lanes avec bicycles. Finally, we sauntered back to The Talbot for more drinks, a fabulously fun first dance helped along marvellously by ‘The Bonfire Band’, some food and a lot more celebrating!

Jackie & Lee | Brympton D’Evercy

Jackie and Lee are the kind of couple you just know are truly made for one another so capturing their wedding was a real honour!

When we arrived at Brympton D’Evercy in Somerset we could really see that the years of planning and saving for the day had really paid off as the place looked stunning. We loved Jackie and Lee’s choice of colour scheme as the dusky tones suited the venue perfectly.

Jackie looked a vision of loveliness in her dress and was so excited to see her gorgeous husband to be when she approached him down the aisle. The ceremony was incredibly touching as it really was obvious for the world to see how much this lovely couple adore each other. We loved the time we spent photographing them together because their natural and gentle affection of each other made our job an absolute breeze!

As the day drew out guests were invited to toast marshmallows on the open fires and watch the sun set beautifully over the Somerset countryside. A romantic first dance followed by a quick set from Lee on the drums and the guests were ready to party! Finally, we couldn’t resist a closing couple shot in front of Brympton with Lee reunited with his baseball cap

We think you guys are amazing; truly one of the sweetest couple we have ever had the pleasure of meeting! So we really want to thank you for picking us to photograph your wedding as it was an absolute pleasure and a privilege. We wish you heaps of love and happiness for the future and look forward to catching up some time in the future!
