Jess & Amin | North Cadbury Court
North Cadbury Court is an absolutely stunning wedding venue and one of my personal favourites in Somerset. It has an enormous history which is evident throughout the house with it’s medieval hall and maze of coridoors and stair cases. Jess & Amin’s summer wedding was nothing short of epic. Their heritage was shared amongst India, Iran, Denmark and England so there were lots of events and rituals to celebrate all of them with guests from all over the world. My particular favourite was the Danish sock cutting tradition where the groom is taken from the bride during the first dance and the toes of his socks are cut off. Apparently this is to stop the groom from being unfaithful as any unsuspecting maiden would be able to tell he was married as soon as he took his boots off! Their wedding was set over the course of two days and Laura and I were there for one and a half which is why this blog post is slightly longer than normal. I hope you enjoy some of my picks and please get in touch if you’re looking for a documentary wedding photographer to cover your day!
