Naomi & Fraser | Gants Mill Wedding
It’s such a huge relief and a thrill to be back at work, capturing weddings across Somerset and further afield! For most of the last year my cameras have sat at home whilst I seriously began to wonder if weddings would ever happen or be the same again. I’ve missed the nerves of the night before, the anxiety as I wait to knock on the bride’s door and the overall pace and excitement of shooting throughout the day. I’ve missed familiar venues and the lovely staff that manage them; in particular Greg and Elaine at the beautiful Gants Mill in Somerset, which over the years has become somewhat of a home from home!
Fraser & Naomi booked me for their wedding after I shot his sister’s wedding way back in 2016 and it was fabulous to see quite a few familiar faces and a couple of brand new children in tow (congrats Hannah and Joel!). Although there were only 29 guests the day absolutely had the same energy and buzz of a full sized ‘pre COVID’ wedding. I met Naomi briefly at At The Chapel in Bruton before heading to Gants Mill for their ceremony and reception where the day was packed with fizz, lawn games, bands, speeches and dancing! Plus I got to witness one of the most moving grooms speeches I’ve ever heard – well done Fraser, you knocked it out of the park! To be fair, he is actually a pro… So if any of you are reading this and might like a few tips for your own wedding speech I’d highly recommend you check out Fraser‘s website Better Wedding Speech for some top advice.
Here’s a few of my favourite images from their fun filled day which I hope you enjoy!
“Russ is just the most terrific photographer. Our wedding photos are a dream and he has a real talent of being both everywhere and completely discreet on the day, while keeping things running seamlessly. Lovely bloke too who made us feel in safe hands with clear communication throughout. Highly recommend!” – Naomi & Fraser
