Gretta & Max are two of the warmest, most genuine people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. Both warm, vibrant, highly intelligent and capable people who made me feel so very welcome from the moment I arrived. They have been blessed with the sweetest little girl called Isabelle who makes quite a few appearances in this blog post. Check out her amazing blue eyes! I started the day with Gretta and her girls in Corton Denham near Sherborne where after a brief ‘no hot water’ disaster everything got quickly back on track. It turns out warm running water is a bit of a must if you’re a houseful of girls getting ready for a big wedding! The morning went brilliantly and a remarkably serene Gretta and Isabelle were well looked after by a few close friends and family. The ceremony itself was held in a stunning Church (St John The Evangelist) in Milborne Port. Max and his groomsmen are all from a military background so all the guests and I were greeted at the church by soldiers with swords. I love the expressions on Gretta and Max’s faces when they were stopped from exiting the church until they shared a kiss. The reception was held at Max’s beautiful family home near Yeovil where canapes, drinks and food were served continuously – my kind of wedding! The speeches were hilarious as was the ceilidh dancing at the end! I never understand how people can follow those instructions after a couple of glasses of bubbly! So, here’s a few of my favourite moments from their day. Thanks for having me guys!
“We could not be happier with our wedding photos! Russ is an incredibly talented photographer. He brings something really special to every photograph he takes. The pictures he takes are not just beautiful, they’re also really cleverly and artistically framed, without at any point being staged or forced. He captures the essence of every step of the day, bringing back the happiest of memories. He’s a top documentary photographer and his formal photographs, which he takes swiftly and effortlessly, are also fantastic – a really lovely, classic collection. On top of all this, it was an absolute pleasure to have him at our wedding as part of our day. He was very professional, discreet and brilliant company. Thank you Russ!” – Gretta & Max
