Emma & Ben | Upton Barn Wedding

It was my first time photographing a wedding at Upton Barn & Walled Garden and it’s an absolute stunner of a venue.  It’s a beautiful restored barn in the middle of Devon looking out over the Blackdown Hills.  The ceremony was held in an oak arbour in the walled garden which was surrounded by flowers and a beautiful red brick wall.  The perfect venue for a summer wedding and what a day it was for Emma and Ben.  It was scorching hot all day – a gentle breeze and blue skies.  They were both beaming from ear to ear the whole time!  I met Emma just outside Cullompton in the morning for a few photos of her and her bridal party getting ready.  Then it was off to Upton Barn for the ceremony where I met Ben and the groomsmen.  After a lovely ceremony there was confetti, prosecco and canapes for the adults whilst the kids ran wild in the gardens!  A well-deserved three course meal was enjoyed after the speeches before everyone headed back outside to relax in the warm summer evening.  I had a fantastic time and can’t wait to return to Upton Barn.  Congratulations to Emma and Ben, thanks for having me!
